Let’s start with performance. The 2023 Toyota Camry TRD is powered by a V6 engine rather than the standard four-cylinder. It makes an impressive 301 horsepower at 6600 rpm and 267 pound-feet of torque at 4700 rpm. In comparison, the four-cylinder provides between 203 and 206 hp depending on the trim level and 184 lb.-ft. All models come with a smooth and sophisticated eight-speed automatic transmission, and while all-wheel drive is available with the four-cylinder, the TRD and other V6 models are offered exclusively as front-wheel-drive sedans.

The TRD also has a unique appearance package with aerodynamic body trim, black accents as opposed to chrome and special 19-inch wheels. Exterior color options include Midnight Black Metallic, Wind Chill Pearl with a Midnight Black Metallic roof and Underground with a Midnight Black Metallic roof. The TRD also has a sport-tuned suspension and a sport exhaust, and the interior features TRD-specific synthetic leather seating with red seat belts. The equipment package is otherwise comparable with the up-level SE trim, and you can add most of the features that bring it in line with the XLE and XSE.
