The 2027 Highlander includes a standard North American Charging System port for access to compatible DC fast-charging stations. Toyota says the Highlander can charge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes with DC fast charging under ideal conditions.⁴

Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging are also supported. The Highlander includes an 11-kW onboard AC charger and a dual-voltage 120V/240V charging cable. Battery Preconditioning is designed to help prepare the battery for DC fast charging, while Plug & Charge capability is designed to simplify charging on selected networks.⁴

Toyota app functionality can help Highlander drivers manage charging with more confidence. Toyota has announced support for charging station search, route-based charger discovery, Remote Connect charging controls, and charging-status information through the app.⁵
